About Grace

Grace began her career in the mental health field in 2005 and has 16 years of professional experience. She became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in 2010 in the state of Kansas. She is currently working toward her LCMFT and is set to complete this in 2025. Grace earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri – Kansas City and went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University. She describes the Friends program as life-changing.

Grace is trained at the beginner and intermediate levels in Motivational Interviewing and enjoys using the Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and other systemic and evidence-based models. As a trauma-informed clinician, the majority of her experience has been working with trauma. She excels in working with highly conflictual families and couples, anxiety disorders, child abuse and neglect, and specializes in brain injury and the processing of near-death experiences (NDEs). Grace works well with teens and adults alike.

Grace loves working with clients who embrace their true selves, quirks and all. Her counseling style is authentic and transparent—what you see is what you get. Grace always shares her thoughts and feelings openly, creating a safe space where clients feel comfortable being their most authentic selves.
